
...one is not supposed to post either a picture of one's cat or a picture of one's own new book, at least not in the UK where one is still supposed to know one's place (as Nick Cohen points out very eloquently in his feature 'They who speak for England' in the new July/August Standpoint issue).
We get round the taboos by posting both together!
