A Brief Intermission is Over

Live again. There was a technical problem which means that all previous posts and comments have been vaporised.

Among the excellent books I have been reading is John Dower's Embracing Defeat about post-war Japan.

I'll be commenting on Katyn (the movie) when I can walk without melting into the pavements.

Quite a bit of rearranging on here then. It was a bit problematic last week so I haven't visited since! Here's hoping it is OK now, though there is nothing on the Hichens tab. Is that Peter or his brother? I thought I saw Peter's articles but they seem to have disappeared from the blog list. Oh well!!
